AKIMBO Dance Festival

2012-2016

Sidney Pink Co-Founded AKIMBO with Nicole Martinell, a Baltimore based dancer and chorographer. The annual festival showcased Baltimore's professional dance companies and movement artists. This free event took place at locations across Baltimore's Station North Arts and Entertainment District, including art galleries, restaurants, parks, sidewalks, businesses, and more.

In 5 years AKIMBO presented over 40 Baltimore-based and regional professional dance companies and over 300 individual artists working in dance, music, spoken word, painting, sculpture, art installation, puppets, multi-media, performance art, and more.
